Access to Rabot can be done in several ways:

In walking :

If you take the tram, the nearest stop is Notre Dame Museum.

Then take to the banks of the Isere.

Cross the bridge Isère St-Laurent (footbridge).
Across the street, take the stairs to the right of the statue of the lion and the serpent.
Climb the stairs, keeping to the left.

Arrived at the Musée Dauphinois, continue straight on the road up.
200m further on, a road is a yaw to the right, is that of the Geological Institute Dolomieu, the road for the Rabot continued straight.
Go under the porch (marked "City University of Rabot ...").
And finally, always take the stairs and you arrive at the car park before the Foyer.

Note: it looks like that is long, it is high when there is a flat city like Grenoble ... but in the end, even walking slowly there is 15-30 minutes long and it is worth the effort!

(See trajet bleu route on the map below)

By car (or bike) descriptive below or Iitinéraire Google

Head to the banks of the Isere.
Since the intersection that lies between the bridge of La Porte de France and the Avenue Jean Jaures, climb the Isere on its right side (side of downtown) up to the Museum of Grenoble (surrounded by a wall) .
Turn left across the bridge from the Citadel (the third after the bridge over the Porte de France) to left on the dock Ferriere (the dock with all the pizzeria).

At the second traffic light Turn Right on Narrow porch  in the direction of Dauphinois Museum.
Then fit the Dauphinois Museum Until three laces.
Continues to climb straight. 200 m along you have on the right the way to Institute domomieux NOT to take!
Go under the porch (mark "City University of Rabot ...")

Continue on the main roads to Find a great parking, opposite Le Foyer.

The rates of the shuttle are those of the TAG (1 € 10 per trip, subscriptions ... valid)

The full schedule is here (pdf format).

But briefly:
No shuttle on Saturday / Sunday.
Recent mounted: 8:15 p.m. 7:45 p.m. ET by Victor Hugo.
Last descent: 20.30 ... 6:55 the next morning if.

"En bulles"

In bubble ... No kidding, the bubbles go to the Bastille and do not stop to the Rabot!
(But we are asked so often that ...)
Otherwise he must descend from the Bastille to the Geological Institute Dolomieu then go back to Rabot, and this is not very useful except for the landscape ...
